I know I have said it before....but incase you are joining me for the first time.....
I LOVE CHALKBOARD PAINT!!!!!!
 |
The hardest working spot in our home. |
My house works hard. There isnt a space that isnt always busy and cluttered.
I am not much of a house keeper....I am more of a "homemaker".
I like it that way... I would love to be able to have one of those museum type houses, where the kids dont dare come in with their shoes on and the dinning room table is set like the queen herself is coming to dinner at a moments notice.
But what fun would that be....NOT!!

The hallway from the garage, with pantry and laundry..... |
We have been here in this house for two years this August 18.
We make a mission statement each year for our family and I have some personal ones too.
I have lived in other homes for years....and never had them the way I liked...Only to have to repaint an re-carpet to sell the place.
What joy is that??? NONE!!
So this house is going to be joyful from the get go.
This is my mission for the year...each room needs to reflect who we are and needs to bring joy!!
And the hardest working place is the utility hall..and it..needed some
LOVE.
What better way to show
LOVE then with chalkboard paint.....
.Yes!!
THE ENTIER WALL BABY!!
The kids were helping me so I had to entertain them with the mustache...they are big in our house..
 |
It did not take long before the wall was done... |
 |
Off came the door...love having a handy 13 year old boy...Go William! |
 |
Out to the garage for some serious fun! |
 |
I love the colors of Key West..but careful, the key lime colors will make your house GLOW! |
 |
So many cute greens...... |
Love it! It's bold and beautiful just like you:)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I have been debating over painting an area with chalkboard paint off of our kitchen... and this just looks like so much fun! Do you use regular chalk or the chalk pens? And how is it holding up? My kids are older (9, 13 & 15) so I'm thinking this could be a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteHey Sugar Mama!! Thanks for visiting.
DeleteMy chalkboard wall is holding up great! I have four kids, 15,13,11,8 and all the friends that go with them. They all write on the walls and love it.....
The regular chalk wipes off easier and doesn't leave a ghost behind. The chalk pens are colorful and easier for the more advanced artist...lol, put if you leave the image up too long you have to touch up the area with more paint. The wall is graffiti wonderfulness and has completely changed a hardworking dull space into a hardworking joyful creative space. GO FOR IT!! I used less then a pint and it took less then an hour...easy, the way I like it! The hardest part was the 12 hours to let it completely dry before my littlest dove into it. Blessings!
